How to Crochet a simple bralette / crop top pattern

What you will need:

- 4.00 mm Crochet hook
- Yarn compatible for use with a 4mm crochet hook
- Stitch marker
- Scissors

Notes about pattern:

-This pattern is written for a size small.
-It can be easily adjusted depending on the amount of chain stitches you make
-For size small chain 11
-Medium size chain 15
-Large size chain 20

Start by making the cups (make 2) :
Make a slip knot. Chain 11.
Single crochet in the 3rd chain from the hook. (two single crochet stitches made)

Work 1 single crochet in the remaining 8 chains. (you should have a total of 10 single crochet stitches)

Chain 1. Turn work.
Single crochet into the 2nd single crochet from the hook.

Work 1 single crochet into each of the next 7 single crochet stitches. In the next single crochet stitch (the last stitch of the row) work 2 single crochet stitches and place your stitch marker in the 2nd single crochet just made. Work one more single crochet in that same stitch you just worked the 2 single crochets in.  (so you should have 3 single crochet stitches in that last stitch of the row)

Instead of chaining 1 and turning your work, you are just going to continue on crocheting the opposite side of the piece. Work 1 single crochet in the next 10 stitches. (all together you should have 22 single crochet stitches)

Continue working in this way until you reach the cup size you want:
Chain 1 and turn.
Work 1 single crochet in each single crochet until you reach your stitch marker.
Once you reach your stitch marker work your 3 single crochet increase all in that one stitch.
(place your stitch marker in the 2nd single crochet stitch made, so you remember where to increase in the next row
Then work 1 single crochet in the remaining single crochet stitches on the opposite side.

Do not blind off after making cup # 2

With yarn still attached, work one single crochet in each "stitch" along the bottom edge of cup # 2

With the yarn still attached to cup # 2, insert hook into the corner of cup #1(as shown above) and work 1 single crochet. (cup #1 and #2 will now be joined) Continue working 1 single crochet into every stitch along the bottom edge of cup # 1.

Chain 2 and turn.
Work 1 double crochet into each single crochet of the previous row.
Keep working double crochet rows until your bralette is the length you want.
Bind off.

Attach yarn to the right edge right before the double crochet stitches
(as show above) and chain 150. Bind off.

Repeat for the other side and bind off. (show above)

Attach yarn to the top of the bralette cup and chain 70. Bind off and repeat for other cup.
Sew and cut any tails.
And that's it! Hopefully that wasn't too hard to follow. This is my first tutorial and I plan on making many more. Leave me a comment if anything was confusing and I will try my best to help.

Above is another one I made using a cute fishnet edging.
